Big Business - game discussion

I'm still here. Very much a daily player. Don't post very often, but an avid follower of the forum. I was the second person to post a reply in this thread when it started over 12 months ago. Still love the game despite the crap and hopeless challenges that GI throw at us. I've still yet to find a game that will replace my interest in the game.

it makes me laugh the stuff that GI does. I have been playing since July go 2012 and have only spent $10 the first couple of months. I am at level 70 and rank 40th in experience. This game is for people with patience or deep pockets. I will be able to purchase a big power plant this weekend with al the free city credits being thrown at us. This will allow me to get happiness points that I need to get more factories. A couple of months ago after the change in game play I destroyed 11 factories and was able to purchase more of the normal factories which in the long run will be more useful. I am at 447k in happiness so I need to get to 484k. That's why I need the big power plant. A note to newbies, don't be so hasty to use the hammer. Save your silver medals for when they offer happiness buildings for 12 silver medals. I have stockpiled 60 so far. With a 5000 happiness building, I ca get 25k in happiness for relatively low energy. Also, maximize the baseball and merry go round and scrap the other low happiness buildings even if the are upgraded. You also need only 6 of the cheapest houses, scrap all the others because you always want to run in a deficit of population so you get all the items from the walkers and such. Good luck to all.

Excellent advice there and could not agree more! Just one thing I might add for the newbies in addition to not being hasty with the hammer, is also not being hasty with the building brigade. Unless you have all the normal game offered industrial building built and upgrade to their fullest, hang on to your building brigades! Level 4 and 5 of the electronics plant cost 5MM and 7MM respectively! Unless you have a boatload of cash sitting around, the building brigade will come very handy here.

In fact, my advice would be to hold on to your free upgrade/instant completion items as long as you can. Free land as well - the price of lands only keeps going up and up. So don't use the free land gift when it only costs 100k. You will wish you had it later when new plots are 10 times as much!

As noted above, patience or lots of real cash are the only two options in this game :)

Thanks for the great advice. Looks like I am doing a few things right. I am one of the "patient" players having only used real money twice when they offered triple CC and still only bought the smallest amount. I see I am way behind on storage!!! I finally have enough happiness to build another plant so I think I am going for the chemical or mine skipping the food and toy for now. Then I will work on my storage. Lots of storage.

I hate how the items in my Warehouse are not organized in any sort of way. Not alphabetically, not based on cost of the items, not based on how many of each item you have. And not only that, but they are constantly moving their location in my Warehouse. One day Coal is on the first page...the next day it's all the way on page 3. I can never find what I'm looking for! Does this seem to bother any one else? Are you with me on this one, GAB?

I think GAB is on vacation in the Caribean.

I save my Building Brigades to upgrade the Big Power Plant. That's one building that can only be upgraded with city credits. Using the building brigade on that saves those precious credits.

I'm still around. Didn't play for a few months but came back when I had some free time over Christmas. It was a shock to see how the population rules in the game had changed but still nice to come back.

Oh by the way, if anyone has any turbines, please do send them my way. I'm working on the hydroplant.

Thanks all!
