A company out of Dallas named Ripcode has a product called the V6 Transcoder which when used with another one of their products called Commander and Detector will automatically detect when an iPad is requesting a flash video and re-encode it to a compatible format, then send it to an iPad using either an MP4 Progressive Download or Apple’s MPEG-TS Adaptive Progressive Download. Unlike the HTML5 solution, this one will supposedly work without publishers having to redesign their sites.

What RipCode and HTML5 do is similar. The difference is that RipCodes solution will work without web designers having to re-writer the code to their sites.
