Mashable highlights a fantastic new music discovery app called Discovr today, which really looks like the sort of thing that every music lover should treat themselves too. It’s basically an interactive map of millions of bands and artists, but so much more besides. If you’re looking to find some new music to love, the app gives you lots of different ways to do so. One way to get started is to enter the name of a band or artist that you like and Discovr will present you with some similar bands and artists. On the web-like chart, you’ll see that bands that are similar are joined together by lines to show their relationship with each other. Tap on one of those icons and then even more artists and bands will appear that are similar or connected in some way. If you want to learn more about a particular band, simply double tap on their picture to get access to their bio, as well as videos, reviews, blogs and features. Looks like a brilliant way to discover new music as well as finding out more about your favourite acts.
