Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Were you using Sonic+Storm or Storm+Sonic? Cause I've found that the order makes a difference. I tried like 50 times fore Blue Fire with Fire+Ice but when I switched to Ice+Fire I got it Second try. I used Sonic+Storm for all my rares except 1 rainbow and 1 sun. It definitely takes time because you have a 1% chance of rainbow so 99 out of 100 times it'll be something different.

That's good to know. I'm using sonic and storm now.

I hate to say it because this game started out so cool, but I am just bored (alternating with frustrated) now. I have tried a gazilion different combos and can't get sandstorm, blue fire, rainbow, sun OR moon. And since I have maxed out at level 20 and don't care about decorations...I am just logging in to try a new breeding combo and gift gems. I don't even care about $$$$$ since I have so much of it. If backflip adds more levels and achievements soon then I might get back into it...otherwise the game will end up just sliding off of my radar entirely.

I have been playing Trade Nations instead. That needs a lot of patience too, but has way more levels so I am nowhere near the high end yet.

*sigh*

And, I did everything the slow way... Haven't bought any gems and used just a few for speeding stuff up. I can't imagine how frustrated I'd be if I'd spent real $$$ to end up getting stuck here.

Yeah I tried that more than once. But I'm sure I'll be more patient again now my first rare dragon is cooking thanks btw

I think there's more truth to the genes thing, because I used my second crystal and second blazing dragon....

Sounds like me with firefly and seaweed. Over and over but nothing. Lol I'd probably be more patient too if I could just get that 48 hrs. Your welcome

I agree. I'm really leaning towards the gene thing too. Problem is I can't remember on some of them which came first. Oh well....when I get more time to sit down for a bit I'll try to breed them with more genes and see if it works.

Btw congrats on your 1st 48 hrs!

Thought I finally had a rainbow with a breeding time of 48 hours.... Sonic and storm both level ten HOWEVER to my surprise I got a MOON dragon instead which is fine, but still trying to get a rainbow..... Also still need sandstorm & sun.. Any one notice the trick to give more gems stopped working??????

Ugh I tried crystal + blue fire for like more than a week now. I got nothing. I even used my second crystal to breed instead of the first one.
Also just tried blazing and crystal and nothing.
I did seaweed and firefly for a few weeks and nothing.
Sonic and storm and nothing.
Iam not getting any of these rares. It takes some of you only a few days to get one, I been at this for a month now. All I got was blue fire.

It does matter the order in which u choose to breed. The order should be blues fire then crystal. Keep trying its just dumb luck I tell you lol.

I am super frustrated. I am level 20/ have all level 10 dragons and fifteen million plus dragon cash and I have yet to breed a BLUE FIRE, SANDSTORM, RAINBOW, MOON or SUN. I have tried every combo suggested here and no idea what to do next. Any ideas?

Has anyone bred a moon dragon using a combo other than sonic and storm?

It's the only one I have left to get, but have tried it 30+ times now.
Shavers, you said crystal and blue fire? I've tried that too a bit but that's even more frustrating because I keep getting crystals.

I got all of my other hard ones quite quickly, this one is driving me nuts. And I can't seem to get a second blue fire or second rainbow either

I got my moon thru crystal and blue fire.
