I have gotten my rainbow dragon after so many time of breeding crystal then bluefire. I switched them and started with bluefire then crystal then got the rainbow dragon.
I also bred a sun dragon on my boyfriends iPod. I was trying to get a bluefire for him but accidentally got the sun dragon. I bred the cold dragon then the firefly in that order. I have noticed order is important. I did the same on my iPod and after just a few tries I got the sun dragon.
Don't know if it matters but since people are asking I have no boosts and my moon rainbow and sun habitats are all next to each other on the same island and all of my dragons are on level 10

Hey there! I know we are all searching for the magic combo for rainbow, moon and sun dragons, so i just want to share my piece on the theory. Make sure all of your habitats are full. That there are no other breeding options. I think it might raise your chances. I have been playing for a month and trying, but I kept getting unwanted dragons and just sold them. But as soon as I tried this, I got a moon dragon and two rainbow dragons in a row. It might not be the secret formula but it worked for me! (on a side note, I was breeding crystal and blue fire each time).

I know I had mine full but I'm mot sure for how long before I got my Rainbow. It does make sense though.

finally I got 48 hour breeding hours, I use Firefly and seaweed. is it gonna be rainbow or moon or sun?

Congrats! It should be a Rainbow. Sometimes this game seems to surprise though.

Hi guys

I am new to this forum and this thread, but i just want to tell you that i got a Sun Dragon and a Rainbow Dragon, out of the combination: Mud+Storm, both level 10.
I am still trying for a Blue fire and a Sandstorm though, but i guess we all have our difficulties

Mine was both level 10 Seaweed left side, Firefly right side. Got it on the 10th try. I'm trying again and on the 3rd breeding try. Doing it exactly the same though hoping for the 2nd Rainbow

Ok because I've been trying it firefly on left and seaweed on right! I'll try opposite and hope it works

Every dragon was Level 10.
I'm not sure about the order that bred the rainbow because I switched everytime I tried, but I'm pretty sure Seaweed was first!!

Other Things: My breeding cave is in the third island, with no boosts and with the rare dragon's habitats!

Lol your probably right. I'm giving it a go though for something to do. The so called theory did get me my rainbow but it's probably coincidence. When I get bored with it I'll go back to trying for sun and moon again. It was just too frustrating for 2 weeks so I thought I'd try that guys gene theory. Either way it's probably is just a bunch of b.s. right now I'm actually trying to prove to myself that it does or doesn't work. Goes to show how bad we really do need a update! Hahaha. I just feel like if I get sun and moon then it's over until we get that update. *sighs*

Well, I did think the generational thing was probably a bunch of bunk. But I tried it because I have tried everything else to no avail. I'm breeding a 48 hour dragon right....first time ever! So thank you for sharing the generational breeding chart! Something's cookin' and I'm so excited!!! I was ready to give up and just wait for updates to see all the stuff I would never get. LOL

Well ive kept breeding bluefire n crystal my rainbow has a day still till egg hatches. And inbetween i gotta mountain dragon but now another 2 day breed in cave i hope it's son but I'm amazed fully expected to have to breed for two weeks again to get another rare im pleasantly surprised
