Sold a large water habitat to build another large earth. Than BFS allowed for another habitat, so to fill the hole on my cold, I decided to replace it with a small cold. Won the tournament, which boost me to level 29 and allow me to get another habitat. Needed a lightening to bred Mag. I have not had this much activity on islands for a long time. Whew! Out of frustration, I have used about 60 gems to speed the process of getting these silly habitats. I hate to complain, but these new dragons are just not pretty or cute. They look like something that came from the underground. Metal underground?? Maybe that is why they look this way.
I thought the same thing, I felt a bit lost yesterday. A lot of things changed, and changed carefully planned strategies, even tho I live by the Semper Gumby motto.
My spreadsheets are a mess too. It is so much work keeping them up-to-date, but I have to work my way through that mess or I will lose sight of everything.
I wish it was possible to look at a dragon in the HC and then go directly back to the previous screen instead of getting tossed back onto the island. I would like to change the names of my low level dragons so they will all be together with their buddies and therefore easier to count, but it is such a hassle

What do you guys think about the tactics for the Colosseum?
What I have found VERY successful is using the PURE element dragons (Plant, Fire, Water, Air, Lightning, Earth, Cold) that I have a very good chance of getting GOLD about 80-90% of the time. For example, just looking at my Trophies today, and 6 out of the last 7 days I have received GOLD by using high level PURE element dragons.
I have also found that putting in a higher level dragon (level 15s) are more successful than using lower level dragons (level 10s or lower).
I know some of you won't buy my theory, but for me this is the truth of what I have seen since picking up the game in November. (up to level 30 now)
What do you think?

Just as a test I leveled up a Chrome Dragon to Level 15 to see if counted against the level 15 tally on the metal shrine. It does seem possible so I think you can go for gold the same time you go for silver... Might be obvious to some but it still surprised me.
