Basic tips for the new update that I've learned.

1) The new island isn't all that great for getting the sun, moon and rainbow, but give you a huge advantage if you still need semi-rare dragons like crystal, blue fire or sandstorm.
2) Best way to get a reindeer would be to mate a "cold" dragon with a "plant hybrid". Cold hybrids might work too, but your chance for success would probably be lower.
3) IMO the best shrine to start with would be the earth shrine since earth habitats tend to hold more total gold, but make less per second.
4) I need to correct myself. To get your shrines to gold, you'll need to activate "ALL" the shrines to silver and level up all the dragons in your park to 15.
5) Take advantage of the new treat farms. Waiting one minute for more food and experience compared to waiting 24 hours for less food and xp is way better.
6) Trying to level up your shrines should be used in combination with the new treat farm. Doing one 500k/1 minute treat session is just about enough to level up one dragon to level 10. The perfect amount. So actually getting the shrine to silver is fairly easy albeit a bit time consuming. Get a good combo if breeding semi-rare dragons/buying treats/leveling dragons and you can get your shrine to 50/50 in no time.
7) When trying to level up your shrines, keep in mind the hybrid dragons, you CAN level up a hybrid, and if you have both shrines for that dragon, it will count for both of them. For example, if you have both your fire and plant shrines, leveling up a Poison dragon will count for both shrines.
8) You DO NOT need the shrine to have your level 10 dragons counted for. You can start early and get 50/50 dragons before you own your shrine, so feel free to try and get ahead if you so want.
9) Very basic, but stock up on food. Lots of it. It's going to be WAY more important than gold if you're going to want to advance your dragons. Beanstalks if you can.

Annnd... I think that's everything. Stuff you'll learn as you go through the update, just wanted to share. Oh, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Im not sure if these were asked before but I have two questions:

1) What does upgrading from a silver shrine to a gold shrine do?

2) What new ability do you get when you level to 25 (since you get your last shrine at level 24)?

To my knowledge there's no gold shrines yet but if you've found out how then let us know how, as of this moment I have contacted backflip and am waiting for a reply and as soon as I hear anything I will let everyone know.

So I'm inches away from going insane. I've been trying for over a month now to get rainbow and moon. I've been using both islands and doing seaweed and firefly, bluefire and crystal, and sonic and storm. Nothing at all! Any other good combos I can try?

You can Try mud and storm that one seem to work for alot of people. I got mine with bone and storm but you might also get a sun too so be warned.

Actually you're kinda in a good place right now, you get your shrines early. I don't even want to think about all the dragons I bread and tossed trying to get my first rainbow, let alone my second one. They could have counted towards some of the shrines.

And also, I sat at lvl20 forever not getting any credit for XP, kind of like I'm now at lvl 25 wasting XP.

I don't remember right now if you've got bone dragons. If not then this is the only drawback to starting later. Have fun catching up

Are the shrines the boost things or are they something totally different? Yeah missed out on the bone dragons boo hoo! Will have to wait until next Halloween now I guess

The shrines are like boosters but for your dragons they let you level up your dragons to level 15 and they make more gold

I'm sorry to say, but this is wrong. Before you have built your shrine, it only counts the level 10 dragons you HAVE ON YOUR ISLAND. They do not count the ones raised to 10 and sold. Before I had my air shrine built, I had 5 air/air-hybrid dragons on my island. The counter said 5/50. I then spent 2 days breeding air and sandstorms to level 10 and selling them. When I made enough for my shrine, it still said 5/50. Once it was completely built, the dragons I raised from then on to 10 counted.

I ended up wasting 2 days and 250k+ food.

Just wanted to pop back in after a long break and say I finally got my rainbow today and had enough gems to incubate and hatch!!! After a billion tries with seaweed and firefly. I kept selling my seaweeds/fireflys and replacing with new ones in the hope that older hybrids would make a difference. thought it would never happen.

That is so awsome Emma! I can't believe that darn thing elluded you that long. I'm still doing the happy dance for you! Congrats again! :thumbs:
