DVDs on iPad

What is the easiest way to watch DVDs on my iPad ?
I have numerous DVDs on my PC and would like to upload them to my iPad, do I need special applications to do this?

Handbrake is a free app used to convert DVD to iPad.

I use "Air Video", to watch the collection of videos stored on my desktop, from anywhere I have connectivity.
