E book won't download!

I've downloaded e-books from the library many times, but the one I am currently downloading is stuck on "downloading title" and won't let me do anything else, period. How can I stop the downloading process? Thanks!

Hi, welcome to iPF!

First of all try the usual fixes:
Reset your iPad - press and hold Home and Power button until the Apple logo appears.
Restart you device: turn it off, wait for a few minutes and turn it on again.

If this doesn't help, try downloading another (free) book. Perhaps this will make the stuck book load again.

More details on the app you are using would help.

I'm unclear on whether you are downloading a book from the iBooks store or from your local library using another app.
