Hi everybody! My name is Dan Banterford and I'm really excited because my new iPad 2 came today- but I have a real quick question, if I could borrow a moment of your time. Where could I purchase a good emulator that will run on the iPad 2? I've never used an emulator before but i have a couple friends who could help me through the techincalities. All I need to know is where to get one. Thanks!

Does this help?

Emulator
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about emulators in computer science. For a line of digital musical instruments, see E-mu Emulator. For other uses, see Emulation (disambiguation).

DOSBox emulates the familiar command-line interface of DOS.
An emulator in computing duplicates (provides an emulation of) the functions of one system using a different system, so that the second system behaves like (and appears to be) the first system. This focus on exact reproduction of external behavior is in contrast to some other forms of computer simulation, which can concern an abstract model of the system being simulated.

Thanks!

There are no emulators available for the iPad for DOS or Windows or the Mac operating system. If you want to program in BASIC, then there's a good app called BASIC!

Sorry, as far as I know no one that thought about running other OSes using Emulation or Virtualization, only dual-boot. But what emulator do you want as I might be able to satisfy you by giving alternatives.

There are various emulators available for the iPad, but all of them require a jailbreak, which is not yet available for the iPad 2.

Not keen on jail breaking. Don't play too many games either. Hope the chap who started the thread finds what he is looking for.
