What's new

Everything to do with XMAS!

Being strangled by the kids while they finally start helping with the green wreaths. And no, not the best time, I agree.

Good for you. You always need some retail therapy and in our case Xmas spirit. Still alive I might add.

I've just watched heartwarming, moving film on YouTube called Sainsbury's Christmas. It's all about how people in UK celebrated Christmas in 2012. From family Christmases to single ones, giving birth to a baby, how children enjoyed Father Christmas. The one that got me crying was.... I can't say because it will spoil it for you all. Please try and see some of it. It's 48 minutes long.

Well it certainly felt like Christmas today. My hub and I went shopping for iPad air cases and every store played holiday music. It was very nice to hear it, but just seems so early! The weather has also changed dramatically here. We had heavy snow, but only an inch settled which wasn't worth shoveling!;)

For the festive holiday season, I have changed my home screen and added Christmas toppings for my apps on my iPhone. It looks so nice!! :)

How about a screen shot, Ski?

It is that time of year again.

I don't know if this is the correct area but I would just like to wish everyone on the forum and staff a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you all for all the helpful support I have received over the past year.
Compliments of the Season.
Mike

Just realised, I think this should go in the Off Topic section, apologies :)

No worries Mike:) I've just moved your nice post here to the Off Topic/Everything to do with XMAS thread. And, from me mate, wishing you and yours the best of Christmases and a great 2014!

Ho ho ho ho. Lovely white and then red is definitely the way to go. Yum yum. Can't wait. Two weeks to go before our school breaks up for the Xmas hols so no more lessons to teach, lesson plans, assessments, reports... :)

Oh and how is everyone getting on with their Xmas shopping. I've got the kids stuff, some for hubby, brother-in-law and sister-in-law etc... Unfortunately, it's too tempting for me as well because I want everything too! Hubby brought some mince pies home from work and we had to buy a Xmas cake this year due to the lack of an oven. We still have mincemeat from last year so will be making mince pies when I get it. Looks really complicated but I'm sure it's not. The oven instructions not the pies. I've done them for years. I'm going to be missing the Christingle service this afternoon if it doesn't come soon. The service is at 4pm at our local church. It's a tradition that our kids love. Especially the oranges at the end.

They are always gorgeous. Mine have gone over now
Does yours have the red blooms or one of the other colours? Mine blooms twice a year. A couple of months or so after these blooms are finished a smaller blooming takes place, with only a few flowers.
