Facebook for iPad - troubles, questions et al.

Is the share button hidden for iPad or is it just there?

Follow the shared link. When you can see the content you'll see the usual box and arrow icon at the top right of the screen. That is where sharing is hiding.

This only works with shared web content. I have not found a way to share friend statuses. If you need to do that I suggest visiting FaceBook via Safari. About the only thing that does not work that way is uploads.

I am having the same problem also how do I go offline in the chat bar on the ipad2.

I wasn't aware there is a chat facility in the Facebok app for iPad.

Also I did an update on Sunday which takes in the Timeline but for some reason it's not active, I read somewhere that Timeline wasn't available for the iPad is this true?

One thing I have noticed on whatever operating platform whether it be iOS, Android or Blackberry none of the Facebook apps are any good.

In Facebook on my iPad, I can no longer go to Friends. When I tap on Friends, it takes my completely out of Facebook and back to my home screen. This just started happening a few weeks ago.

In the FaceBook app?

When you have problems with an app it's a good idea to clear it from RAM.

Close/Clear the app: With the problem app closed, double tap on the Home button to get the multitask bar. Tap and hold on any icon in the bar until they jiggle, then tap the minus sign on the problem app. This will remove it from RAM and insure a clean start the next time you launch the app.

If that does not work try a restart,

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends you restart the iPad at least once a month.

and then a reset if that does not work.

Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart.
