What's new

Food anyone?

Bananas with soft brown sugar and cinnamon, wrapped in a tin foil parcel and baked in the oven......damn, I'm drooling all over myself now!

Even better add a spirit to the parcel just to give them that little kick.

Serve with some thick gooey cream!

A pint? My god, Gab. Bad day?

I've had a bad day. Had to take new kitten Archie to the vets today. Possible fractured pelvis. We've been worried about him. He is the clumsiest thing. He must have fallen off he kitchen table or something and landed on his back. He's on pain relief and x-rays on Tuesday.

Oh poor Archie, that's awful Hayles, hope he's better soon. What do they do for a fractured pelvis?

I'm not sure. They need to see the x-ray first. He is not amused. He is in his cat box and is not allowed out. He keeps meowing at me. The vet is hoping that it will knit the bone but only time will tell.
Leelai, is it me or does this happen to all my pets? Lost two cats and one dog last year. Archie is so clumsy though. He will scratch or lick somewhere and literally fall off wherever he is. No sense of balance. I put it down to being a kitten but he's older now. I will know more after the Easter weekend. He's on pain killers for now.

Yes you've had a very bad run on pets Hayles. I really hope Archie is fine though. My cat grew out of being clumsy, he still climbs everywhere though. He likes nothing better than peering down at everything. I think he feels secure up high, go figure!
Let's hope Archie learns! But all the best!!

I am prepping my Easter dinner right now with some of the traditional Filipino dishes: pancit, jasmine rice, stir fry veggies. Also have the traditional polish meal: kielbasa, sauerkrauts, etc.

I am beat-but I am currently looking for one missing chocolate bunny....hmmm...I didn't eat it, wonder who?

Thank you my friends. Yes, I seem to be doomed. He's not a happy camper at the moment. Imagine caging a kitten? He doesn't understand it for his own benefit. Let's hope it doesn't take too long to heal. How are we all? Ready for family invasions or are we like me going to a family invasion. I have roast lamb with all the trimmings tomorrow with sister in law and hubby. In the evening the rest of the clan arrive for a buffet style meal. Late night me thinks. I might have to pop home and check on the invalid. We only live 4/5 miles away. Thank god. Some of you sound like its a mammoth trip to visit family. Hubby and I have Monday off together! Yippee!
