What's new

Food anyone?

Having our Easter roast dinner tonight late.
Hubby a bit off color over the weekend.
So there is a huge leg of lamb in the oven smothered in mustard ,garlic and rosemary leaves.
Roast potatoes carrots and onions.
A tomato and zucchini bake
Beans and peas and gravy
All waiting.
Going to start off with coconut crab cakes.
They are off the banned list so ,we can eat them this year.
Have attached an image if the beast!!!
Ours wasn't quite as big ,but nearly.
Very pre historic looking they live on land and feed on coconuts.
So their flesh tastes like coconut .hence the name.
But very delicious

Is that a clip from the new Tim Burton movie, Edward Crabhands?

The Archangel

Very good Archangel,
It could be the next idea Stephen Speilberg is looking for to do he sequel.
Bet you wouldn't like to meet these fellas in the dark with a pair of thongs on!!!
The natives are bare foot here.

Snap snap snap.

I thought I'd post what my sister in law made. The cupcake cake was totally yummy. The pink ring is marshmallows and rice crispies. My absolute favourite thing. Devine. We had fairy cakes, Easter biscuits/bunnies and chocolate of course. This was for the evening and we had lamb roast for lunch. I was totally full last night.

Update: Archie is not a happy camper. He is stiff due to the cage rest and can't walk when put onto the grass for his prison break moments. Poor baby! My niece told me that they had a cat in her surgery which had been hit by a car and had a crushed pelvis, it was in a cage for two weeks and a month later was walking much better. £400 later of course. These vets certainly know how to charge. I'm hoping Archie isn't as badly damaged. Will know more tomorrow. Will let you guys know when I do, I promise.

Hee hee Gabriel. Yes, make it snappy!

Our roast is ready to go. Leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary marinated in red wine, potatoes, carrots and parsnips. Gravy and mint jelly will be there. Broccoli for greens. Bread& butter pud with cream for afters.

Hmm, you might want to check the meaning of thongs over here? Lol!

The cat was in a cafe for two weeks, how much caffeine is too much for a cat?

Well, having a foot in both camps, so to speak, I could eat either.

In fact I'm so hungry right now I could eat a three legged donkey and ask for seconds.

Yes well based on a picture taken from the cab of your Freightliner this morning, don't be tempted by the yellow snow at the roads edge. I don't think it's lemon meringue.

He Hee Hee. Old one but still funny. I'm watching the horrible histories prom night at The Royal Albert hall. Classic fare. Very popular CBBC tv program. Makes history come alive.
