Buy a bag of mini rolos and a jar of peanut butter and some bread, then toast a slice of bread. When the toast is done, put some rolos on it and leave them to melt. Spread the melted rolos, then spread some peanut butter on it so it blends with the chocolate, and wait for it to cool off. Enjoy!

First Saturday of the year at the Farmer's Market. Been gone since the first week of November.

Half loaf of Rosemary Sourdough and half loaf Jewish Rye.

I forgot to take a picture of the fish, but did get a half pound of wild salmon. They also had a fish called John Dory. Looks like a good white fish, but I need to look it up. They didn't have less than a 2 fillet pack at almost 2 lbs though, way too much food.

This looks just like what my hubby does. He was very impressed.

I've seen Marmite and Vegemite in the US. I think Marmite was at Cost Plus most recently that I've seen, and Vegemite most recently was at a chain supermarket near me. This branch has selections of food from various parts of the world. I picked up some rolls of Rowntrees fruit pastilles and wine gums, and some McVities digestives, but no Marmite or Vegemite.

Tried Smashburger today and was not impressed. Disappointed, because the menu sounded good. Had a Spicy Baja Smash and some sweet potato fries. Meh.

I'm having a tall glass of half seltzer, half lemonade now.

What's left over from lunch. We slow cooked chicken thighs and vegetables in a mild chicken and veg curry.

The wild rice was a perfect accompaniment. :)

Gosh I haven't eaten there in ages, Kaykaykay. Why do they call it a smash burger?

That looks great Richard. How do you make your curry sauce?

They said they start with a ball of good meat, smash and grill. I found the burger on the dry side and lacking flavor, though. The fresh jalapeños gave it a little kick, but I could eat a jalapeño on its own and get that, lol. With a good burger, I expect the meat and the char to deliver.

For not much more, the Palm does a good burger at lunch!

The curry sauce is a mild chicken and vegetable curry. It's from a shop bought can (Marks & Spencer).

The recipe works well and we will be trying a home made version next time. The curry needs to be mild to suit our palette - not to be overpowering. We had run out of sultanas to add in which was a shame.

That's good to know! I had the best burger on our least trip at a restaurant called BLT Burger. It was in the Mirage Hotel Casino.the seasoning and the way they cooked it was superb!!

I can never really find a good mix of curry. My mom makes a wonderful chicken curry dish, but I can never reproduce it!

The best burger I have had was in London, I think the place was called GBH.....no, no, it can't have been GBH (because that stands for Grievous Bodily Harm!) but I'm sure it was something like that!

LOL...GBH...maybe that is the term after you have finished that great burger there! Just love a burger with just the standard fixings...nothing special...no special sauce, etc. I always go with the classic burger, cooked to medium! Yum yum!

Maybe it means Great Burger House??

Yes! That sounds better! :)
