It's interesting how our different tastes emerge.
Disgusting tastes and smells for one are nice for others.
Certainly some old sauces etc (not mouldy) recipe-wise are distasteful. Ref Mint Sauce / jelly mentioned a while back in this thread.
Now we have grapefruit being dissected and digested. My parents prepared grapefruit by cutting in half, freeing the segments, then putting a pretty generous layer of White sugar on each Halkirk. The absorbed sugar sorted out the bitterness to a large extent.
There are super new foods and varieties out there to be tried - so go on spoil yourselves, give this gear a go.
Well, I must take my wife up to The Borough Market tomorrow, to buy lunch from one of those great stalls. I like the Hog Burgers, or venison sandwiches. Yes, we will spend some time checking out the specialist fruit and veg. Perhaps wash everything down with a pint or wine at The Market Porter.
