Pocket Gamer reports that it has had confirmation from Gameloft that the French developer is currently working on four games that are all based on Epic Games’s Unreal Engine 3, which was of course responsible for the amazing Infinity Blade iOS game released last year. Although Gameloft has yet to reveal the titles of the Unreal-powered games it’s working on, Pocket Gamer has heard that one of them is N.O.V.A 3, the third instalment in one of the best iOS shooter series around. As Pocket Gamer says, this could be a very interesting move for Gameloft. The previous two N.O.V.A. games already look pretty good in their own right, so an iPad 2 or iPhone 5 version powered by Epic’s engine could be really jaw-dropping. Or, on the other hand, will it be a case of, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it? Pocket Gamer says that no announcements are expect concerning N.O.V.A. 3 until later in the year, so we’ll just have to wait and see!
