Google has updated its official Google Drive app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with its new Material Design language. The universal app for iOS users has now reached version 4.0 and the most important new feature is the update to Material Design.
However, according to Google, the app also comes with faster syncing and image viewing, as well as an improved scrolling performance. So if you had problems with these before, then this update should take of those problems for you.
Material design is a design language developed by Google and announced at the Google I/O conference in 2014. The design makes increased use of grid-based layouts, responsive animations and transitions, padding, and depth effects such as lighting and shadows.
