has anyone made there own iPad stand?

I'd like to give it a go.
I'm wondering what materials I should use?
wood preferably, because it will be hard for me to work metal, unless im just bending. I only have access to saws hammers nails and glue.

I'm pretty proud of this one. Took 2 hrs to make.

I use a book display stand I purchased from a book store,you know the rubberized white ones that prop books up to display them. It sits on my pillow, my lap, even my dog at times. With the adjustable hinges it works in every situation.
