Have any scratches, dings, or nicks on your iPad?

I have a protective case but I can't use it with my charger/stand and it's a pain in the behind to put it on and take it off. This is my second iPad, I've had it since Friday and I've dropped it 3 times already.

I have seen these cases that are a PIA! You have dropped it three times so far? Oh My. You need to SIT. Don't move. LOL!

think screen protectors are pretty useless when it comes to glass. I don't know what kind of glass the iPad uses, hopefully it's Gorilla Glass but it's real difficult to scratch glass and if you're going to break the glass a screen cover won't help IMHO.

ITA. I would never use one.

I've large hands and I find the naked pad very slippy to carry around. Fortunately the apple case is nicely slip resistant, but best of all you can charge it with the case on. Despite all the scorn poured on it, their case is thoughtfully designed so I've never felt the need for any added protection.

I don't use a protective case with mine because it is so hard to find one that works with the dock. I haven't had any problems with it slipping out of my hands, but I keep a pretty firm grip on mine if I am moving around, you never know when the dog or kids might get under foot.

I did put a screen protector on mine before I ever powered on (so I wouldn't know the difference in feel). It only takes a grain of sand stuck in your microfiber cloth to make a mess of the screen!

None at all on mine, as I've had it in a case with a screen protector on it from the time I got it, which was almost two weeks ago.

OMG I am so meticulous and possibly OCD about scratches and marks, it would annoy the crap out of me if I had a single blemish on my ipad or any other electronics. Ive had a full body shield and case since day 1 and about once a week or so I pull the ipad out of its case to give it a good wipe down with some iclear spray.

Oh and did I mention that on top of the full body shield, and protective hard/silicone case I have on my ipad, I also keep it in a incase neoprene sleeve. So I expect my ipad to be immaculate for as long as I own it.

Okay, then!! Good job!!:)

I was at a friends for Thanksgiving last night, and had a lot of fun watching them wince and squirm while their 3-year old daughter played with my iPad. It survived fine, minus a million tiny fingerprints. :)

Hell yes... I scratched the back of my pad as soon as I got it... Took it out of the box, in the car, and scraped my keys against the back... And since then, the baby has accumulated a couple of hundred scratches...

The front is nice and clear though... I have a tendency to like (masochism?) the scratches at the back, makes the device look nice and rugged, while being the aesthetic beauty that it is... Lol...

Within hours of opening up the box I had numerous chips on the front glass. It slid out of my hands onto a plywood base with staples. The staples chipped the glass. I dusted it off, kissed it and put it into a jumbo ziplock baggie. I drove back to the best buy (300 miles from home and 50 miles from my vacation home) and bought the silicone case. I didn't take the iPad with me cuz I was scared to death that I would damage it even more. That was back in May. Since then I have never been more than 100 ft away or more than two waking hours with it off. I'm pretty careful with it.....but not overly so. I'll let anybody play with it including very young children. But they have to play while it's enclosed in the jumbo ziplock baggie.

And if one of those children has a tantrum and throws it down the stairs I will at least have all the broken parts together.

aww! Your A Good Man Charlie Brown! I could NEVER let anyone play with my iPad without trippin and hovering!

I figure it's actually pretty safe - there are no buttons or keys to break off, no moving parts, and she's low enough to the ground to make drops pretty minor. The only mishap was a cousin's 10-year old playing NFS - I spent weeks building up cash while winning race after race in a lowly VW GTI and he sold my car in the game to buy something else. :) I also keep the content kid-friendly, knowing little ones will un off with it. It's got the first 2 Spider-Man movies, both Iron Mans, all 3 Toy Stories, The Incredibles, and the original Superman movie.

I walked out from my breakroom at work, and the blasted thing slid right out of the end of the kickstand case, and flopped onto the carpeted floor, didn't fall far, but I thought it was going to be an $800 drink coaster. All is well, however. I didn't ruin it. "Yet". I am extremely accident prone and baby it like a newborn. I wish there was a strap or something that latches over the open end of the case also so it won't do that. A patent improvement.
