Not sure if the new topic has started. But anyway, multiplication or addition bingo is a great way to help children develop their basic number skills. And it's fun, so I use it a lot.

I'd love to post something...however....
As a child at heart, with a great grasp of language, but maybe not numbers as much, how the heck do these numbers add up?? I think you teach primary school, so maybe I missed this in school, but I'm totally not getting the math at all! Lol

This is a lensometer. I use this every day to read the power on eyeglass lenses. The one at work is identical to this one... GC: EyeC999 Level 95

Ok, now I'm really confused...what's the avatar topic??
Or is it "post things that will confuse Nancy"??!!??

Lol! It's something that you do at work.

With the bingo game, each person draws up a grid, (which could be 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5), then you fill the grid with numbers, and take turns to throw two six-sided dice, and you either add (or multiply) the numbers. If you have that answer on your grid, you cross it off, and the first person to get three in a row is the winner.

Children learn quite quickly which numbers are possible, and modify what they choose to place on their grid in subsequent games. You can also make the game more complex by using 10-sided or 12-sided dice, depending on the ability of the child.

I am a primary school teacher, and also do private tutoring. :)

Haha! I think that would be so fun as a topic sometime - "stuff that confuses Nancy"!! Lol! Followed by "stuff that annoys Anthea", "stuff that grosses out Carolyn", "stuff that interests Donna" and "stuff Samantha will do for chocolate". :D GC: EyeC999 Level 95

Love it!!

Awww! THAT's why you're so nice :) It also shoots death rays at UFOs in the event of an Earth alien invasion. GC: EyeC999 Level 95

It's also why I am so bossy! ;)

Haha! Can it also shoot death rays just because it's Wednesday and I feel like it?

Have you got any other really cool stuff?

My tinfoil hat will protect me.

Other cool stuff.... Hmm lemme see... This is a pupilometer, measures the distance between the center of each pupil: This is a frame warmer, which heats the various plastic frames so we can adjust them without breaking them: And these are some of the other tools for adjusting frames: It's still opticianry, however, and therefore, historically not really considered "cool" :o GC: EyeC999 Level 95

The last photo looks like those pliers could be used for dentistry as well!
I have nothing this cool in my work! ;(

But it's what you do with it that counts! ;)

Anything that can be employed in the fight against aliens, or better still, zombies, is cool in my book.
