What's new

HELP,, Itunes ate my 6S...

You'll have to go here and install the latest version of iTunes for your version of Windows XP. This is a special version of iTunes 12.1.3 for computers running legacy versions of XP and Vista and will enable it to sync with devices on iOS 9.
Apple - Support - Downloads

After you've installed the latest version of iTunes, your computer should sync with your iPhone 6S.

I was using 12.1.3.6, but dumped and all components. Reinstalled itunes, still nothing.

The system recognizes the phone and I can see the USB driver load/unload as I plug it in, via device manager

my ipad light if find, plugs in and is recognized.

It is the 6S new software down load that is hosed. When turned on I get the itunes error(c attached), implying I should plug it into itunes. NOTE: looking online for this pic, I noticed the same nut different color used. This 2-tone itunes is the one I see.

The nearest I store is 70 miles away in Orlando.

I may try the local verizon store?? I am hosed, as this is my only phone. I dumped the copper wired house phone back in January..

Tx

That picture is what you see if the iPhone is in recovery mode.

You could try restoring your iPhone by using DFU mode. DFU mode to Restore | Apple Support Communities
This bypasses the current iOS installed on the iPhone and should restore the iPhone if there is no hardware fault. If restoring your iPhone by using DFU mode doesn't work, it's time for that trip to the Apple Store and a Genius Bar appointment.

Tried sever times, varied the hold, longer, shorter, back to the same screen...

It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Making love to his tonic and gin

Wish me luck..
Thanks
