Help with iPad CrasH?

iTunes hung up while trying to sync my iPad and I had to force a quit. Then, when I tried to start it again, it said something like "Sync will not start because a session cannot be initiated."

I tried a complete power down, but now the little wheel in the middle of a dark screen keeps going round and round (over an hour now)!

What can I do to save the situation? Any help will be sincerely appreciated.

 

[The Alternative]

Hold down the power/sleep button again until the iPad shuts down completely. Then with the iPad plugged in and iTunes up and running restart the iPad. (Press and hold the power/sleep button again.) You should be able to synch now.

If that does not work:


Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart.
