The indent is the rectangular marker on the top of the ruler bar. Drag it into the position you require your indent. To indent existing paragraphs, select the text and drag the indent. Text will automatically reformat.

my ipad 2 has a built in application, which i do not know and does not let me copy

dear moderators,
i have a huge problem.
i am new with apple world.

i bought an ipad 2 with 45gigabytes of movies in it.
somehow, the guy who sold it to me, has integrated an application which does not let me copy or backup my ipad2.
i am told that , if i ever connect to itunes , the videos will be erased.
he also showed it to me physically that the videos are erased when he connected his ipad2 to itunes

what could be the application and how could i disable it?

There is nothing out of the ordinary going on here. The movies and any apps already on the iPad belong to the owner of the AppleID used to purchase them. You cannot back up the iPad using your computer because you do not have access to the AppleID. So long as you do not attempt to backup the iPad you will have access to the moves that are on it, but you will not be able to change or add anything.

dear kevin,
would jailbreaking help?

No, it would not. Jailbreaking will not allow you to keep items which belong to another person. You have two choices. Either keep the iPad as it is, or restore it to factory settings under your own AppleID.

Here is the thing, those movies don't belong to you I'm afraid, they belong to the owner of the Apple ID they are attached to so to do what you want would be considered piracy which not only is a big no-no in terms of discussion on this forum, it's also illegal.

thank you all.
i bought the ipad and paid 4000 usd for the movies.
as far as i am concerned, the ipad and the movies belong to me, as long as i do not share it to someone else.

Well, I would say that the guy you bought the iPad including movies from tricked you... pretty much I would say!
If you did not get the AppleID delivered into your possession as well it is same as pirating the movies (he, not you - you just bought "stolen items").
That guy will buy the next iPad, put the same movies on (as he still has the same AppleID) and sell it to the next one who does not imagine human crimina energy... Which is actually the same as buying blank DVD's and putting the ripped/ downloaded movie on it and sell it in the streets, but "2.0"...

As a matter of fact, you bought the iPad - the right to keep the movies on your iPad you thought you bought, but not being able to change the AppleID's password they are not yours - they belong to the AppleID (or iTunesID)... :(

I am pretty sure you did not just hand over the bucks to that guy without knowing anything about him, meeting him on the street or so - so I suggest to go back to him and politely ask him to hand over that ID or go to the police!

Archangel, I absolutely agree with you.
However I think that this guy was badly tricked buy the one who sold him the iPad - I think that this should not be removed in order to inform people about the bad guys (and girls?) out there!!

Those had better be some Great movies for you to have paid $4000 for them. I personally would not go that route, but it intrigues me why you thought this was a deal?

dear zphone,
i bought them because they are movies for my education.
i needed to learn more and i am learning.
i just do not know what will happen to my 4k, if ipad is broken or malfunctions.

If you have to restore your iPad or it breaks then you lose everything. Whilst I sympathise with your situation you have been scammed, those movies do not belong to you if they are subject to copyright and we cannot help you in trying to get them onto another computer.

Can you maybe explain a little more about them being for your education, that may help us to help you.

@dishekimi

You have been given good advice. As Gabriel says, this forum does not condone piracy, and for that reason we can't help you to transfer or otherwise copy these movies, even if it were possible.
Best advice is from hpulmer, though. Go get your money back because you've been scammed. Me? I would get my money back, and still go to the police.

Good luck.

Just to introduce myself,6 months from retirement, always an Apple wannabee, had classic iMac(White,OSX,with movable silver arm). Quite proud of fact that I enlarged HDD,replaced faulty DVD player. had to sell to pay some debts, gutted.
Irish, have lived on beautiful island of Fuerteventura for 5 years, computer/music/Internet business went bust, lost nearly €350k, now living on state, but hey it's life, I've lived it a bit.
Looking forward to the iPad experience, enrolled because I have questions, but will read as much as possible before putting them to U all.
