What's new

If you are new, please post an introduction thread.

Nabil here, I own an iPhone 4 and iPad Air. I joined this forum just help people and also to use my iPad to its full potential. Hello everyone.

Hello from upstate SC. I'm a retired Middle School Band Director, and still perform as a professional musician (Bassoonist primarily although I also play all other woodwinds). I'm an above average golfer, and a proud grandfather of a precocious 4 yr old who talked me into going shopping on Thanksgiving evening where I braved the incredible crowd and scored my IPad Air. I am a PC user, a former beta tester for America Online, and use a Motorola Droid phone that constantly amazes me with its capabilities.

Hello, I am a new forum member. I am a teacher and received an iPad from my school to use in my classroom. I am not new to computers but the iPad is quite different. I have many questions to ask. :o

Hey there. Got the iPad mini retina and need help figuring out how to make best use of it. I'm a writer tv type and grew up on pc's. Loving wife got me the retina to pull me into 21st century. I live in France and first glitch encountered was
trying to get the US choice ...the iBooks US STORE, for the iBooks. With the French iBooks default I did a search for WWII French history and got but 7 hits and 3 were about Italy! Anyway know this is going to be a slow transition phase. Any and all help appreciated. Look forward to reading thru the posts. Happy new year! David

The link you created for the "new thread" takes me to a "Go Daddy" site.

Hi! I'm Kimberly and don't usually involve myself in forums for lack of time but am a fairly new ipad user and need some assistance!

Hi, mine names Daniel and I'm new on here also! I feel for you and at the same time impressed at your turning to technology for help. I'm currently in the hospital recovering from a brain surgery. I've been in and out the last 7-8 years and my iPads have been a savior.
I've also come across so many designed to help specific illnesses and I'm sure there are some amazingly helpful things for ALS. Even just the forums will help improve your life.
I'm currently trying to build a system for myself using an iPad Air (numerous sites I've trusted for years are actually calling it the best tablet ever made. It surprises me they would give such a title but willing to try it.
I'm hoping that can be my main interface with the world. Connected with unlimited cloud and cell if it works will mean I will have access to anything I want anywhere. I'm not as tech savvy as I used to be but I believe it can work!
I just saw your posting and wanted to throw some support your way. I think your on a great track. And don't forget the families of people with ALS forums! I bet their full of ideas and helpful things. Try using a number of different ways to google it because my favorite forum was actually hard to find. It was like the tenth google search I did that found it. If your not finding things helpful for you, try, try again. Seems silly but there are 1,000s of ways of searching and each different word or order brings up new info..

Good luck and keep up your strength!

Hello everyone,
After 30 years in IBM PC's I decided to undergo the sex change operation and switch to Apple (iPhone 5s and iPad Air). Learning Apple is like drinking from a fire hose right now, but I love every minute of it. I hope to lurk in various forums until I am comfy with everything.
