What's new

If you are new, please post an introduction thread.

Hello everyone
New with iPad, it's interesting and exciting, but must learn how to optimize that

I hope people in this forum can help me to that

Hello and thank you for founding this awesome site!

My husband got me an iPad for Christmas and love it! For the first few days, I even forced him to kiss it and say good morning to it and so on, ha ha! Anyway, I've already learned much from your discussions — thank you, thank you!

My name is El and I'm new too. Hi Steve, I hope you mean something nerdy and computer-related when you say "tweaking." :/

Is there a thread in here for iPad art? :)

My name is Steve Huffman and I am an Ipad user and enjoying tweaking and learning.

Greetings and welcome to the forum... even if you go to the "other" school in Indiana!

I bought my iPad on EBay after Christmas. Unfortunately, the seller was a scammer; fortunately PP reverse the sale and I got my money back.

I bought another from an EBayer, brand new, and it arrived Friday. It has been very frustrating setting it up. I have wireless at home and thought I would have no problem with the iPad. Though I connected to my ITunes and have downloaded apps to there, I cannot connect for my mail or get any www on the Internet to open. I keep getting the message: "Cannot connect to the server, check your in-coming mail setting...." I have called the carrier (Windstream) and they won't help other than telling me to put pop. in the incoming mail slot and smtp in the out going. I still cannot connect. Surely somebody can help me. What am I doing wrong?

Nancy, was your iPad brand new in the box or was it used? If it had been used by someone else, then your best bet would be to wipe it clean and start fresh since it could have some remnants of the original owner's account information.

hello

hello everyone,
I am new to the site, and excited. I just received an iPad and already own an iPod. I live in KY and am a teacher. Any help you all can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,
Great place. I have been learning a lot. I don't have an ipad yet but I received a gift card for the apple store to go twords an ipad. I also received one for bestbuy. Is there an advantage to buying it one place vs the other?

I've had my ipad since October -
Re: Purchase from Apple store vs. Best Buy - I bought mine from BB because they were open, and the drive to an apple store is almost an hour, and the apple store was closed. LOL I bought mine along with a 3yr BB warranty. The warranty isn't inexpensive, but it covers pretty much any way I can screw up an iPad, other than dropping it in water. I'm not sure what Apple's warranty covers.

I haven't explored too many "art" applications. OK, I've explored none. I'm a photographer, and from a photog. perspective, LightTrac, Easy Release, Second SHooter, Portfolio, and DoF Explorer are great programs. Noteshelf is a great one for writing with a stylus.
