Hi,
I'm a 76-year old female who loves her ipad2. I don't have much technological knowledge about this modern phenomenon, but I manage to get by with manuals and sites like this one, but every now and then, I encounter a problem with the iPad and cannot find the answer. I may call the Apple support people and they themselves are unable to solve the problem, so I'm looking forward to finding answers on this site. I have 2 problems right now. One is that my Voice Over does not work although I follow the instructions. The other is, recently in my email, when I strike the letter on the keyboard to begin writing, the cursor is there but not the letter. I have to go back to the home button, then touch the email icon again to open it, and then it works. This has already happened twice recently. I've had my ipad for three months now and it has never done that before. What is happening? Is this a flaw?

I am a 65 yr old great-grandmother, grandmother and mother. I am eagerly anticipating delivery next week of a white iPad2 16GB wi-fi only. I currently own a Motorola Xoom wi-fi and a nookcolor. My youngest son and DL will be getting my Xoom for Christmas! The android games are a huge disappointment and I am excited that my gaming site (BigFishGames) carries my adventure, mystery, hidden object full-screen, full games. I have a Dell desktop and Dell laptop and never use the desktop anymore. Once I get the iPad2, I won't be using the laptop much any more.
I am extremely impressed with this site, the helpfulness and resources. Thank you for the opportunity to be a "newbie" -- looking forward to learning and using my first Apple product.

I've just joined this site hoping to get some help with an iPad problem I have.... (will post in the right area in a min). Hope I'll be able to help some of you guys at some point too!
Have got iPads 1 & 2 due to my boss coming good on a promise made if I solved a problem at work - using the 2 on a daily basis both at home and work and keep finding more and more ways to use it!

Im also new here!! Its nice to know there is a community that supports each other in enjoying the use of apple products.
Im a self -explorer type of person, but now i definiteky cant help myself. Please tell me, how is it possible to open .jpg files in email attachments. Nor fileapp, nor dropbox, i have no clue which app can solve that problem for me..
Really need it, cuz my designer sends me material in different formats, n its not the first time he is using that format, which i need to check and forward..

Welcome to all of you - I noticed that some of you have included questions in your introductory post. Most Members don't routinely read this introductory section, so you'd be advised to post your questions in the Help section or - preferably to begin with - use the Search facility to see if the question has already been answered elsewhere. It usually has!!
