iMore reports today that Apple has taken the big step of replacing the iMacs that are usually on the “kids’ table†in Apple Retail stores with iPads. The table always used to featured four iMacs, but now it features four iPads! In the past, the demo iMacs on the kids’ table were loaded with educational and game programs that children could easily play with, and now the iPads are also loaded with similar apps for children to play with. As iMore says, it really is a sign of the times, and shows just how influential and important the iPad has become to Apple. It really does look like the iPad is taking over the Apple Retail Stores rapidly, having already usurped the in-store information cards and the MacBook Pros at the Genius Bar, so how long before they start replacing Geniuses themselves with iPads, asks iMore?!
