Image/Photo Thread Of Any Images You Would Like To Share....

Hi squib, we have never spoken before but I read your post a few days back about your accidents and your amazing strength. You have moved me to share this with you......as kids my brother and I were inseparable and had unbelievable amounts of fun together. He was the elder by 18 months. When he was 14 he dived into a river from a tree on the riverbank. His head jammed into the mud at the bottom of the river and he would have drowned/suffocated if I had not pulled him out. Unfortunately he broke his neck and was paralyzed from the neck down. He never forgave me for saving his life because he was paralyzed but....not only that... also blamed me for his paralysis. Apparently some wise medical fool had told him that people with his injuries should never be moved as this will, in most cases, cause further damage. I suppose the idiot was not aware of the circumstances. I had to do something or let him die... Anyway he died a few years ago at 65 years old a bitter and resentful man who did not speak to me for over 50 years. You, on the other hand have inspired me with your amazing outlook on life and have helped me to wash away some the unbearable guilt that has been my burden, rightly or wrongly, for so many years.

Thank you so much Diane!

Roy

I bet your parent were proud of your selfless rescue! I would if I were one of your parents!

Here's sunlight reflected off the windows of a building across the alley from this building.

Sorry all, my last post didn't really belong here but squib triggered it with her super attitude to adversity. She has my total admiration.
Thank you for your kind words.

Words are sometimes difficult to express that would mirror one's feelings about a post and the person writing it. squib gave such a post, as did you. Gosh there are some great people on this forum:)

Is wood easily available in your region?
Houses here are mostly built of bricks, because there are no woods near us.

Canada is the second largest exporter of primary forest products in the World and is the largest exporter of wood pulp, newsprint and softwood lumber. In Canada wood houses are much cheaper to build than brick or concrete block houses.

I didn't know that. Thank you for explaining!

While most people consider them as weeds, Dandelions do have a beauty all their own.

I go with that,Scifan. Your photos prove it.

Do you have any sayings associated with blowing the seeds from the seed heads?
