I wished this particular one wouldn't do that at night.
It's common practice here. When driving to/from Frauenkirchen, I certainly saw 4 or 5 such fields.

Thes grapes are quite a bit more mature than the ones we have here.

Grape harvest will start in August and go on until October in Northern Burgenland. The grapes on my picture seem to be an "early species". I guess they will be harvested at the end of August.

The above was taken during 2006. When the Olympics sites were being designed etc.





















The above were taken during the Paralympics and after the events, while the arena etc were being taken away.

The above 4 were taken yesterday. All has been restored to its former glory, except that Mother Nature decided to parch things!

Driving through Vienna, I managed to take these two pictures while waiting at the traffic lights.









This construction site is part of the future Vienna central station.

Great pictures as usual Richard. Brings back memories including a very pleasant cruise on the Thames. I also remember the sail clipper Cutty Sark. Is that still there or have they moved it?

I agree with JA! I have never seen a photo of England before where the grass is straw-like rather than lush and green! We haven't had rain in 26 days ( I think - I am not keeping up on my days very well yet ) . Gorgeous photo's I would have never seen without your input! Thanks! Congrats on the new baby boy prince!
