That's a lovely travelogue Dave. Well worth posting on the travel forum under travel stories.

Some of your photos remind me of the Lake District in NW England.

Cheers - Richard

Hi Richard - thanks for the comments; actually, Leelai and I just exchanged a few PMs and she mentioned the 'Travel Forum(s)' which I had not noticed - plan to transfer the two mountain posts there (and maybe other recent trips described on my music forum). Dave

With the app reducing the resolution, it still looks good! Which camera did you use for this picture? I guess it's cropped?

I used my 16 mega pixel digital point and shoot camera. Yes, it is cropped. Here it is uncropped.

I needed quite some time to figure out what was confusing me when I saw this picture, but now I know it: this looks almost like a picture I would take with my Canon and the 75 - 300 mm optical lens. 16 mp doesn't say anything about the optical zoom. Your camera won't have 5x optical zoom, when it can take this picture. Is this right?

No, my camera has a 10x optical zoom.

It looks a little pale. The colours were more vivid than this picture shows. :-(

I like this planet with his beautiful rings.
Too bad I forgot to wave and smile when this picture was taken! ;-)
