I especially like the second photo.![]()
Yes, that's certainly the best one. I thought I'd post the other two as well, to underline the beauty of the second picture. ;-)

Thanks Czevski, for your photos! It was so nice to see a chipmunk again, as well as a frog on the road that wasn't squashed, the turtle and mushrooms! All beautiful. I especially liked the chipmunk! It has been so long since I have seen one...years! Thanks again!Assorted photos from my recent walks.

Here's the sun shining through a thin spot in the heavy overcast. What's unusual is that it's over an hour after sunrise and the Sun is about 30° above the horizon. It's not usual for the Sun to appear so red this long after sunrise.

I agree, I haven't seen a chipmunk in a long, long time and even then I've only seen them in cages. The move so fast that I think this may be the first time that I've seen one that wasn't just a blur!
The Archangel
We have lots of chipmunks and squirrels here. The chipmunks are fearless and often pose for me until I get really close - then they are that blur! The squirrels and chipmunks don't get along and the chipmunks usually run just far enough away to sneak back when the squirrel stops watching.

Susan & I went to a special exhibit at Reynolda House in our town which had a special exhibit on American 'Still Life' artwork over the last three centuries and then attended a concert there of classical works (both instrumental and voice) related to plants, flowers, etc. - the art used for the exhibit poster is a painting by William Harnett (1848-1892) (click to enlarge) - his art was really photo-realistic - this is a painting and you feel like picking up the objects from its surface - quite remarkable artist -
