great work both of them. You got a lot going on, on the bottom one. What's the story of the dog there?

This cow moose was drinking water from the puddle when she noticed me. You can see the water fall from her mouth in large quantities in this shot.

Is that Gypsy in the second one?

No, just a generic dog. Gypsy has floppy ears and a houndish nose. Much harder to draw. Actually, she looks like a smallish rottweiler with long fir.

As with dragons, fantasy creatures are easy to draw. No matter how they turn out you can claim that's what you meant to draw.
