I looked at your snowy sun dog photo yesterday and it loaded fine for me and is still showing. LUcky me.I showed my curmudgeon and he just shuddered. These southerner s are wimps.

Thanks for sharing. IMHO it's worth submitting to a national paper, such as the UK's Guardian or to the National Geographic for their weather image of the day.
