I agree about the avatar, a great smurf! I must confess about my ignorance of the Pannonian plain. Is that in your region? Also puzzled about that structure which seems unusual. Is that some old guard tower or a bee hive on steroids

Gosh, I should have googled it first, so now I understand. Do you have room for another pupil in your class? And a spare dunce cap?

When I look out of my window, I see these fields. That tower is made of wood. Hunters use it. I wonder how they attain this one





I only have 10 pupils this year, room enough for another one.

The cool moth is a white-lined sphinx, common all over the USA, and usually seen at flowers around dusk. It's often mistaken for a hummingbird.

I don't know. The buffalo (bison?) are native to the area, but they might have been hunted to extinction in this area. We haven't always taken care of our wildlife. The park is south of Rapid City and has a variety of wildlife. We just waited for the buffalo to stroll down the road and finally off it.
