Image/Photo Thread Of Any Images You Would Like To Share....

Despite a hard winter, some of the delicates survived.

These are on the north side of the house. The snow protected them from the winter kill we had in March.

scifan lives were you find prairie crocus....soft and fuzzy mouse in colour.

when I was a child I visited my grandparents and the truck got stuck in the gumboe(clay).
we had to walk over land to the farm to get the tractor and my Granny.made me wear my pajamas over my ears to keep warm.
we found The hillside covered in crocus.It was wonderfull.My Mom tried to transplant some corms but they didn't take.
when I saw holland crocus's for the first time I thought they looked fake by comparison.I like them fine now especially as they are a harbinger of spring.
but to me they aren't really crocus.

Can crocuses (croci?) be pale yellow, almost white in colour? I seem to remember such flowers were the first to appear in a European spring thaw. Maybe another name?

Yes, they certainly can be. There are also bright yellow ones.

I wad looking for a photo of some in our garden, but no luck :(

They do exist in different colours, white as well.
