I don't know. The buffalo (bison?) are native to the area, but they might have been hunted to extinction in this area. We haven't always taken care of our wildlife. The park is south of Rapid City and has a variety of wildlife. We just waited for the buffalo to stroll down the road and finally off it.

Yes - the four legged creatures don't do we'll against the uprights.

Unfortunately for the woodworkers, the threat of Dutch Elm Disease, means that elm wood has to be disposed of and cannot be used for woodworking or firewood.

Despite a hard winter, some of the delicates survived.




These are on the north side of the house. The snow protected them from the winter kill we had in March.
