Image/Photo Thread Of Any Images You Would Like To Share....

In 2001, right after the attack on the World Trade Center towers, with flights grounded, it was noted that a 1°C higher temperature average was recorded - due to the lower reflectivity in the atmosphere from lack of ice crystals generated when the combustion by-products are subjected to supercooling at these high altitudes.

That's an interesting fact.

Hey, next winter they could ground all the planes and spring would come to my place a month early.:) Maybe I could even plant a few palm trees and some banana plants.:D

Spring a month early sounds good. :-)
On the other hand: no beautiful pictures with planes between clouds. :-(
(And I couldn't try what my camera is capable of. ;-))

:) Maybe I could even plant a few palm trees and some banana plants.:D

Come to think of it: if you ever manage to grow bananas and palm trees in your garden, I'll be living in a desert, I suppose. :-(
Awful! Except if you send me some of your bananas then. :-)

This is a good post for me in particular because the photo's came to me in an email. I tried to find the source but couldn't . Also I took a photo of my cat, cropped it and sent it to a friend of mine who is an artist. Well, about two months later I get this email called Dramatic Cats or similar and there in the middle of about 20 photo's is mine! Now I am lucky because the copyright laws in Canada have just changed and the copyright belongs to the original person! Even if they sell it!
So if I get some email that has all sorts of things in it what should I do? This is very important to me. Thanks, Richard for bringing this up. Squib.

You don't need to supply copyright info if the image is yours, although you may choose to do so. For all other images, the source must be acknowledged. Don't forget, your source may not own the copyright. This is about protecting the forum, and if your source is using copyrighted material, at least you have done your due diligence by naming the source.

If you can't credit a source, better really not to use the image.

We visited Southbank today which is on the banks of the Brisbane River across from the city of Brisbane. It was the site of World Expo 1988 which just happened to have its 25th anniversary from when it first opened today. It has been transformed into many different areas for everyone to enjoy and it was just such a beautiful day to enjoy it all!

Thanks Kevin, this topic went through my mind as I was posting them. I'm not sure you got my PM forwarded from Richard? So, I will repeat what I told him. Right now in Canada there is law being changed which, I think, will allow anything that you created - you automatically have the copyright. I took a photo of my cat, then cropped and it turned out to be magnificent so I sent it to a friend of mine who is an artist. About 2 mo.s ago. Well, last week I got an email about cat photo's and how cats can be so dramatic! I scrolled down and the eight photo was the cropped one of my cat. Because I have the original on my memory card it is MiNE !!
I have no idea how it got on the WWW but it did and is out there now. From now on I will put my name on what I post that is mine. And I am in TOTAL agreement with your last sentence. When it is not a complete " YES " when you are choosing anything then it's a " NO,". Thanks for explaining it all to me! Squib

IMO, you should have a little conversation with your artist friend. That person should understand all about copyright and infringement....and most likely would not want credit for something that isn't hers/his.

Thanks Ski! It was very lovely to walk through it all. We often took our girls here when they were younger. :)
