Here are some photos of the spring runoff on Wascana creek.

It seems the water level is unusually high. This looks dangerous, too. Did you zoom in to take some of your pictures? The last one looks like you were in the middle of the creek.

On the contrary, the water hasn't risen as much as expected, so far. In the last photo, I was standing on a pedestrian bridge that crosses the creek at the point where it leaves the lake. The only picture I zoomed in for was the fifth one.

Where did you take your fourth photo?

Where did you take your fourth photo?

It's a pedestrian underpass that passes under the street at one end of the bridge at the west end of the lake, where the creek exits the lake.

Thank you! I notice that you know my permanent curiosity, because you posted the map. :-)

Good morning. AQ. Nice pic. I was beginning to forget what flowers look like so thats a timely reminder that Spring is on it's way.

A neighbor sent me photos, taken this week in his yard, of a male eastern bluebird and a male ruby-throated hummingbird. I had banded the hummer at my home in 2011, so he's just returned for the second time. The bluebird has been fathering chicks in his yard for at least five years, and comes to his deck to beg for mealworms.

This guy is a super-talented photographer!
