You mean the view from across the lake? The lake is outside the field of view on the side marked 1. I was on the far shore of the lake.

I am not sure, but I think it is a lesser yellowlegs. I asked my bird club friends but haven't heard from them yet.

I heard from my friends. It is a solitary sandpiper. As an amateur, I always need help to identify birds. The bird book photos aren't always good enough.

The black and white one is of me and my calf at the PNE and was in the Vancouver Sun!! A big deal when you are 15-16!!
