ipad 2 Restore Error 1604

hi everyone,
I need help resolving ipad 2 restore error 1604 issue

I connected the unit to iTunes which recognized it was in restore mode and attempted to restore but has failed multiple times on with either 1604 or 1600. Below is a list of things I've tried to get the restore to complete successfully to no avail:

• Normal restore and DFU mode restore
• Changed USB ports
• Waiting until I got the error and restated iTunes
• Stopped/Restarted Apple Device service
• Uninstalled/Reinstalled iTunes
• Deleted IPSW file
• Turned off Anti-virus protection and firewall
• Tried a different PC cable in multiple USB ports
• Restarted the PC several times
• Tried a different PC

anyone have any ideas how to resolve the 1604 restore error?

my ipad is 4.3.1 wifi 16gb.wanna update to 4.3.3 using custom ipsw

I am having the exact same issue. I have Ipad2 wifi 4.3.2.
I am TRYING to update to 4.3.3.
When I go to install the 4.3.3 firmware it gives me 1604 error.
I have done all the same things wumeimei has done.
I have also read the Guide that SweetPoison has recommended.
Nothing has worked so far!

1604 error no matter what computer or cable I use. (i have 4 cables and 3 computers)

Do both of you have SHSH blobs saved for iOS 4.3.3?

If no, you cannot restore/upgrade using that iOS. Ever.

You don't have to jailbreak, but if you follow this thread exactly (and have SHSH blobs for 4.3.3), you should be good to go.

I do not have and never have had 4.3.3 saved on my device.(or pc) But there has to be a way to update from 4.3.2. ?? Did apple make it so that you can't update to specific os' of your choice??? And if that's the case an there is NO way to update to 4.3.3 from 4.3.2 then should I update to 4.3.5 and wait for a new untethered jb?

On that note, is there a way to update to 4.3.5 and downgrade to 4.3.3?

Edit: is there NO way to get blobs for my device if I don't have them?

If you didn't save SHSH blobs for iOS 4.3.3 then there is no way you can save them now. Without them, you can't upgrade/downgrade/restore/etc to 4.3.3. No way. Ever. And, they are device-specific, so you can't use someone else's...

Your only recourse (if you want to upgrade) is to go to 4.3.5.

Well that just sucks. I assume there's NO jb for 4.3.5 yet?
