9to5 Mac has a big story with lots of new information about the iPad 3 today, kicking off with what is said to be a shipping note for iPad 3 units, which was seen on the Sina Weibo website by Apple.pro, and which appears to detail iPad 3 shipments to the US from China starting February 26. The shipping document specifically refers to US airports in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles as being the locations that the iPad 3 is shipping to. In the same report, 9to5 Mac also says that according to its sources, Apple will be allowing customers to pre-order the iPad 3, as they did with the original iPad, but not with the iPad 2. These same sources even give March 7 as the date that pre-orders will start. Finally, in the information-packed report, 9to5 Mac also says that it has also heard from sources that Apple will be discontinuing production of all iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G and Wi-Fi only models, except for the black and white 16GB versions, once the iPad 3 is released.
