Syncing went relatively quickly for me. I'm downloading apps like a crazy lady now. Everything has been a breeze, but it's taking some time to get used to the keyboard.

Posted from my iPad. :)

OK, should be about 1 PM - the wait nearly over - just wait for the dogs to bark....

Got a whole load of free apps downloaded and a whole list of highly rated paid apps in the bullpen......

Wow, I'm loving this!!!

I have one question, and hope this is the appropriate place to ask it: how do I not sync all my iPhone stuff over to the iPad? Is there a way to select some and not all that I am missing?

I read that you go to itunes>preferences>devices & uncheck the auto sync button

Wow! FedEx just delivered at 10:20 Ca. time and it was promised by 4:30! Hooray! I posted here before I even opened the package! Madness!

With iPad pluged in to computer. On the left of iTunes you should see your iPad listed by the name you gave it. Click on it and you will see tabs, such as, info, music, apps, etc., click on apps and you will see all the apps that you have with a box to the left of each. They are usually checked, just uncheck the ones you do not want to sync and then check sync at the top apove apps and it will sync just the ones you have checked.

I hoping to purchase a 3G today but the one thing that I want to know is wether the GPS on the 3G is stand-alone (autonomous) or if you must have data activated in order to use it. If someone who is fortunate enough to have one already could let us know it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you want to estimate your delivery time go in to your orders in Apple and pull them up. Then write down the time the items were placed on truck out for delivery and when they were notes as delivered.

Over the past 6 weeks I've had six items (mostly peripherals) delivered by FedEx to my home from Apple. All six items were placed on the truck between 8:48am and 10:33am. All six items were delivered between 2:05pm and 2:50pm. I think that's a pretty good window, eh? Besides it gives you something to do while you're waiting.

Still waiting, but have a quick question. Mine will be delivered to my workplace. Can I go ahead and charge it before syncing it to my home pc?
