Ipad locks up when using "Mail link to this page"

As the title says, I am having a problem w iPad 2 screen freezing or locking up when I go to Mail link to this page. Any ideas? The only way to get out is hold power and round button, forcing a close. Then when reopen it says I lost the connection to the site and then clears up. WTH!
