Talk of problems in Apple’s iPad supply chain continue to rumble on, and now Business Insider reports that one analyst is saying that the problems could even prevent Apple from achieving its unofficial goal of shipping 40-45 million iPads. According to FBR analyst Craig Berger, touchscreen supply delays and Hon Hai production issues mean that in his opinion, Apple’s 40-45 million iPads goal could well be “out of reach.†In Q1, Apple sold all 4.7 million iPads that were available to sell. In Q2, he thinks that figure should rise to 6.4 units sold, but that would still be below expectations, albeit an improvement on Q1. However, Berger believes that production could then fall again to 5.2 million units for Q3, with 5.5 units sold due to the aforementioned component shortages, although he told Business Insider that this prediction could change if the touchscreen supply problem is fixed in time.

Hmmm... I wonder why the estimated time for delivery seems to be getting shorter then?
