Ipad2 using Mains USB hub

Ipad2 using Mains USB hub to power USB devices with the Camera Kit, I have read several times when people connect a USB stick or Hard Drive that the iPad reports lack of power, has anyone tried connecting via Mains powered USB Hub to resolve the problem?

Some have had limited success doing this, however, only certain powered hubs appear to work and other don't. It appears to be a crap shoot as to what works and what doesn't work. My Samson mike use to work and now it doesn't with the CC. Haven't tried a powered hub yet, don't have a spare at the moment.

Well, it may or may not work.

My powered hub certainly does no good, you may have better luck though.
