iTunes not downloading

I am a retired engineer from AT&T Long Lines, currently livingin a retirement community in Kansas. Iam a “first day buyer†of the Ipad; skipped Ipad2 and now have Ipad3, includinga problem with Apple ITunes not downloading. Other gadgets are MP3 player, SLRCamera, Android Smartphone. My age is 88.
