Oh, here's an app I just noticed is free for today [only]: "Foldify" (link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/foldify/id527118971?mt=8).

It's a great app (iPad only) that allows you to make 3D paper objects. You can either make/color your own or import pictures from your Photos.

It's great fun to play with - and definitely something kids would like (or, like me, good for grown-up kids, too!). Hey, it's regularly $2.99 - so it's a pretty good deal.

I like it - maybe you will too?

I have just seen, quite by accident ( ), that the Apple Store is giving away 5 free apps and games to celebrate its 5th anniversary.

I'm downloading Barefoot World Atlas which could be a good one for discussion in the Travel forum.

The app has just finished loading. It took 62 minutes, and the wifi signal strength was good!

That's very long. I downloaded this app a few days ago. It needed a few minutes to finish. Certainly not over an hour.

I just downloaded the Louvre HD app. It is now free until October 2. It is a wonderful app with beautiful art pieces, but what I love about it is fhe music portion of it. I've just listened to Fur Elise and Canon in D. It's just wonderful!
