I have a Radio Shack pocket computer from 1978, together with the printer attachment and the cassette drive.

Once upon a time I had a pallet full of Commodore 64/128's and accessories . I got them from a fellow who used to run a BBS with them. When I moved into my Travel Trailer I had to give up a lot of stuff. I gave them, and my Amiga 3000, away to a fellow in Coos Bay, OR who wanted them.

I miss my old Commodore 64/128. It was the last computer I really understood. I had the expanded manual and had even dabbled in machine level programming.

I had a Vic 20 for a while (traded for some motorcycle tires), but it blew up shortly after I gave it to my Mother. I should have put it on a surge protector.

There were a couple of type-in programs that came with the Vic 20. One of them was a simple line graphics program. I expanded on it, made variations all the way up through my Amiga. Some day, if I ever get a handle on Objective-C, I'll probably write it again for Mac OSX and iOS.

I'd probably pick up a C128, just for the fun of it, except I still live in the TT, and don't have room for more than one desktop computer. As much as I like my iPad, I'm not ready to give up my iMac.

Haven't seen one post a pic?

I couldn't find my PC-1, but here are some photos of my PC-2.

I had a similar Radio Shack portable computer; not sure what the exact model was. The printer did not attache to the side, and the unit was black (I think). I'm pretty sure it's still hiding in one of my storage boxes.

But my first computer, sort of, was a TI-58C programable calculator. Probably the only use I put it to, besides basic math, was two games you could type in from the manual. One was a random horse race sort of thing. The other was a number flipping game; another program I reproduced in several versions on later computers.

I've got a heap of PCs but I wouldn't call them a collection. More a pile of junk that I'm too lazy to butcher for useful parts before I send them for recycling.

You should see if you can get one of these, Nathan. This is the one that started it all off. The first home computer.
