Hi Bev, welcome.
Not sure on wireless projector option, sure someone here more experienced than I can comment - wired connection you could presumably just do using the AV plug in adapter though.
Thinking about it, if your projector has a hdmi input you could plug an Apple TV into it any you have yourself a £99 solution...
